Sunday was a really rainy day here. It's been storming all summer long. I got caught in the rain as well and had to take cover under one of the umbrellas on the docks. It was a nice misty morning shower. I took the opportunity to check out the new South Cove Park just recently opened near my apartment. I'm really glad they pushed forward with it instead of giving in to the whining of those in the tall twin towers, the Trump Towers that face the waterway and were going to have their pretty waterway blocked off by a park. Or those complaining that homeless people would hide in the mangroves when they get bigger and scare visitors. Yeah OK. For now the mangrove sprouts are ttiiiiinnnyyyy and all that exists is a couple benches and a table with 2 chairs. Guys, I think you're missing the trash can. I'm glad they're trying to restore the ecosystem and incorporate it into the tourism here downtown. It's a step in the right direction and it's a nice spot to relax.

Splat happens all too often on streets where a car is always going to win.
